My Confetti Analysis

Jennifer and I were talking the other day about the difference in our blog versus other lifestyle blogs. We decided that instead of just saying, “Life is Hard” and letting that be the theme of what we’re doing here… we say: “YEAH, LIFE IS HARD, BUT WE’RE GONNA THROW CONFETTI AROUND ANYWAY.”

Therefore, since this is our underlying theme, I thought it was only right that I share my two cents on confetti purchasing with you.

Let me just say that I LOVE CONFETTI. It is a beautiful reminder to celebrate and enjoy the beauty of life. I love it so much that I incorporated it into my wedding in two different ways: my bridal portraits and our wedding reception exit. Both were, if I do say so myself, executed flawlessly.

For my bridal portraits, I purchased two bags of Flamingo Bling confetti from Jessica of The Confetti Bar (she’s basically the Confetti Queen of the World). This confetti is, in her words, “a glitzy mix of everything pink & gold.” I’d just call it a batch of confetti perfection.

For our wedding reception exit, we opted for this unbelievably happy confetti from FLUTTERFETTI™. We ordered two dozen of the confetti sticks and two pounds of the loose-leaf confetti. This confetti is engineered (yes, engineered – complete with patent) to flutter and linger in the air. And did it? Oh, yes it did. Plus, all of their products are biodegradable and flame-retardant. Needless to say, I was obsessed when I stumbled across their site.

And there you have it – my confetti analysis. I’d say either one are absolutely, without-a-doubt worth every penny you pay.

xoxo, Julie
