I had one aunt on my mom’s side of the family, who passed away unexpectedly my senior year of college. My aunt was elegant, beautiful and lovely in every way imaginable.
Over the next few years, our family sorted through her belongings. My Aunt Phyllis loved jewelry. As a daily, wearable reminder of our precious Phyllis, each girl in the family was offered one of her rings. We had a handful to choose from, and I immediately was struck by this one.
My husband and I were asked to be the bride and groom in a styled wedding photo shoot last month. I brought my aunt’s ring along, knowing it matched the color scheme of the shoot.
Since my aunt passed away before our real wedding, I love that she was able to come to our “second” wedding and add her elegance and beauty to the day.
